Greetings Everyone!
First, let me say what a blessing and privilege it is for me to be your new music director. I want to thank you for your patience as I learm about my new responsibilities and hope taht you are enjoying the expanding workship music we ar presenting. I understand and respect the values of tradition for you as we start blending some more contemporary music into the services.
9:00 am You are all probably aware by now that the 9:00 am Sunday service will embrace the traditional hymns with pipe organ. The Chancel Choir, under the very capable direction of Keri Hess, joined the early service September 25th. I want to welcome Keri and thank her for all her efforts and talent.
10:30 am We will be experimenting with some new songs that you are unfamiliar with. I aks that you come to the service with an open heart and mind, listen to what we offer, and try it on. It may be a bit different from what you are used to, but with just a little effort on all our parts, we can find a common ground where we all can enjoy the worship experience together.
Wednesday - I am very pleased with the Wednesday evening service. It has grown in both the musical presentation as well as in attendance.
Handbell Choirs - The Adoremus Deo bell choir will begin October 9th. Sue Roe is in charge of the Young Ringers and they have started rehearsing and will join in the services very soon. Thank you, Sue!
Share in the Fun - I want to encourage any of you, young and not so young, who have desire
to participate in the worship bands, choir, or bell choirs for both Wednesdays and Sundays to call
me anytime at 223-3560. I am available to you and it is my desire to have as many musicians and
singers as I can to share in the fun of the music.
I also want to thank all the singers and musicians who are already with us dedicating their time and talent.
