Trinity Lutheran Church

Church Council and Boards

Church Council
The governance of the congregation is provided by the Council, consisting of eleven members, which includes four officers and seven members of the congregation. The Council is responsible for the general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation, and in particular, its worship live and financial and property matters.

The officers of Trinity Lutheran Church consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Vice President moves up to President the following year. Each officer serves a one-year term with the exception of the treasurer which is three years.

The pastors meet with the Council at their regular meetings, which are held the third Thursday of each month.

Church Boards
There are six boards at Trinity:

Family Life Board
Fellowship and Outreach Board
Personnel Board
Property Board
Stewardship Board
Worship, Music & Fine Arts Board

Each board consists of one council member along with their own members from the congregation. The council members report the actions of their board to the Council each month.

The church boards meet the first Thursday evening of each month, usually at 7 p.m. For the chair people of each board there is a 6:30 p.m. meeting to discuss the planned agenda for that evening's meeting.

Members of the boards attend the New Member Receptions held in spring and fall to help welcome our new church family members.
